Tips on Supplying Images

General Tips for Images:

The best file type to use is JPEG (.jpg). Images can also be supplied as PNG (.png) or GIF (.gif) files.

Please ensure your image is high quality / resolution for a clearer print. In most cases the larger the file size, the better quality the print. In general we recommend images have dimensions of at least 1000 x 1000 pixels.

It’s best to email images that that have been downloaded to your device, rather than emailing a screenshot. This avoids screenshot icons showing on images.

Avoid dark photos to preserve details on the finished print, and checkered backgrounds that cannot be removed.

Please attach files to your email, rather than providing a link to online drive or storage.

We do our best to ensure colours match the image supplied, however due to the ingredients and printing process involved, the finished image may vary slightly from the image supplied. Images can appear differently depending on the screen they are viewed on. Colours will appear brighter on a screen than on a print, as they are backlit on a screen. Fluoro colours like Hot Pink will not print as bright as shown on screen.

Pre-cut Round Prints:

Choose an image that can be cropped to a circle without losing parts of the image or text you want to keep. The corners of images will be cropped, so an image with lots of background is best.

If you're supplying an image already set up as a circle, please don't include a thin border around the circle, or have text too close to the edge of the circle. This is because we print the image slightly larger than the pre-cut circle, and your border will be lost.

A4 Prints:

The maximum printable area is 28cm x 20cm.

If you require images to be set up to a specific size, please provide these measurements in your email. If you are unsure, let us know and we can help. If there is space on your sheet we can print several sizes of your image so that you have a choice.

We don't recommend WORD docs as the placement of images or fonts may not be the same when opened on our system. Please save or export your WORD doc as a PDF instead.

Documents can be sent as PDF (.pdf) using the following layout:

  • Set up your document as A4
  • For landscape orientation, leave a white border of 10mm on the left and 5mm around the rest of the page
  • For portrait orientation, leave a white border of 10mm at the top and 5mm around the rest of the page

Important Note: PDFs supplied exceeding these margins will be reduced to fit.
